Last day of practice

Friday 26 was the fourth and last day of teaching practice. This day was soooo relaxed as we (my partner "Marianita" and I) spent 3 hours (from 3:30 pm to 6:30 pm) just printing and copying documents. It sounds easy and relaxed but in my opinion, it was not, because I was standing on my feet those 3 hours and my foot started hurting. But, even that, I preferred doing that rather than teaching, and that is because I really do not like teaching something that I even do not know about.  I have to be prepared for giving a class since I am an organized person, so I have to know in advance what kind of topic I will teach. Regardless of this, the fourth teaching practice certainly helped me to develop more in an academic and professional way. I am satisfied with all that I did during the teaching practices and the results of it. So, I am grateful to have this subject that is crucial in my development as a teacher; and of course, I am truly grateful for having an excellent teacher (...

As I was not able to attend Friday 12, I went Thursday 11 to replenish the day I didn't went. From 3 PM to 4 PM we didn't did anything but from 4 PM to 7 PM I was assigned to a teacher (Diana) as an Teacher Aid. Teacher Diana told me to give the half of the 3 classes to practice. It was easy and entertained for me because it was an advance level (8) and I prefer working with teenagers and students with intermediate and advanced level of English. I can tell I gave good classes because students were able to finish the activities without struggling and also, because they laugh a lot during my classes.

~1st day at CEI Practice~

Today Friday, March 15 I had the first teaching practice from 3 pm to 7 pm. I was not alone but I was with my classmates "Shuma" and Marianita. I didn't was on time because a family problem arose so I arrived at school at 4:25 pm. I went right away with my classmates and I asked the principal what I was going to do and she said that I needed to help my classmates to check exams. I had never done something like before so it was a exciting thing to do, I even felt like a teacher checking student's exam. But, honestly, it was really tired just being sitting for almost 3 hours just checking a LOT of exams (approximately 50 exams). It was really tired since I am not used to be sitting for hours and just writing. My back, neck, hands, etc hurted, it was really exhausting and that made me think of teachers. How can they just sit for hours just checking exams and other things? They really have my respect. Evidence of me checking exams c:

Student-Teacher Presentation Hi c: my name is Damaris Chávez Leyva better known as "Dam". I´m a last semester (semester 8) student of the BA in English Teaching. I am 22 years old (almost 23 years old since my birthday is the 23 of July). Honestly, at the start of the BA, I did not want to become a teacher but now that I gained practice at teaching, I can say that I have gotten used to it and now, I am thinking about the possibility of becoming a teacher right away I finish the BA. The reason why I entered the BA is that I speak English and honestly I did not have any clue of what university career chose. At the moment, my dream job is being a tourist guide at a zoo because I love animals and I love transmitting my knowledge about topics that I am interested in.  If that dream does not come true, perhaps I can become a teacher and not have an issue with that. However, I rather teach teenagers and young adults rather than children because I do not know how to interact with th...
